A 74-year-old Vietnam veteran faces up to six months in prison for displaying an American flag on the fence of a Los Angeles Veterans Affairs facility.
U.S. Army veteran Bob Rosebrock placed a six-inch flag last Memorial Day weekend on the fence of the 388 acre campus on LA’s opulent West Side to protest large portions of it being used for purposes other than what was stipulated in its original 1888 deed to the federal government: to house disabled veterans.
Rosebrock explained on Fox & Friends Weekend on Saturday, “We want that land used as it was deeded as a national home for disabled soldiers, and they want to use for a UCLA baseball diamond. A private school has an athletic complex.”
